I have a Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec 5 door hatch with manual box.
I want to remove the crankshaft pulley so to replace the timing belt but the pulley bolt
must be the hardest one I have ever come across.
I have been trying for two days to get this beast out and with no luck.
I have locked the pulley with a locking tool and had somebody hold the brakes on while in gear
but it is not moving.
I have heard that some people hold the pulley bolt with a socket and bar on an axle stand and
then turn the engine over which unlocks the bolt, can anybody tell me if this works ?
Also does the pulley bolt unlock anti-clockwise on these engines.
