A few reasons/causes

1 wrong grade oil (thinning down to much when hot)
2 oil filter needs changing
3 oil pump on it's way out
4 faulty switch

First thing I would try is an oil and filter change, then if that dont work try a new switch, then if that dont work start paniking as it will be the oil pump.
