Magenta
I'm sure this type of problem must have been aired before but can't find it using the search. The front passenger door on my son's 2006 TDCI Ghia has stopped working properly. I am sure it is a mechanical problem perhaps due to rough useage. Sometimes the door cannot be opened from outside, the handle doesn't seem to be 'catching'. Inside works fine. I am assuming that I have to remove the door card to investigate. How do I go about this, bearing in mind all the electrics on the door ? Advice appreciated.

Magenta
Think I've fixed it. Got the Mondeo door card off per instructions and examined the way the lock operates as far as I could see with the limited access through the door holes. Couldn't see anything particularly amiss or very lose but managed to tighten up the two 'star' screws (T27 ?) on the plastic cover behind the handle and slotted bracket just a little by getting a ratchet socket drive into the door. This seems to have fixed it. Thanks for all your help .
