WHEN ON TICK IT SEEMS TO STALL AFTER A FEW MINS ,IF I UNPLUG THE IDLE VALVE ITS FINE UNTIL I GIVE IT A REV THEN WHEN IT GETS TO TICK OVER SPEED IT CUTS OUT. IF LEFT ON TICK OVER WITHOUT A LITTLE REV AND PLUG IDLE VALVE BACK IN IT CUTS OUT AS SOON AS PLUGED IN ?? ITS GETTING A PAIN AS WHEN DRIVING AND COME TO SLOW DOWN IT STALLS ITS SELF. I HAVECHANGED VALVE FOR NEW ONE AND AS SOON AS PLUGED IN WHEN RUNNING IT STALLS ??? CAN ANY ONE HELP ??? CHEERS ALI Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mistry Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 Hi, you might want to check the throttle body for carbon build up. The butterfly valve may be sticking due to it being gummed up. Just take of the intake hose and spray into the throttle body some throttle body cleaner. I've used 'BG 406' in the past and it's worked quite well. Mistry Posted December 7, 2008 Share Posted December 7, 2008 It could be the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Not sure how to test for a faulty one, and I think they are expensive to replace so I wouldn't replace it without being sure. Best thing to do is get a diagnostic done.
