Interior Power Fuse Keeps Blowing

I've got a 1995 Escort 1.4 CLX and the fuse that is responsible for the interior lighting (the light that comes on if you open the door), cigarette lighter plug and the dashboard clock keeps blowing. It works well for about a day, but if I get in my car the morning after, I find the fuse blown. What could be happening?

It's fuse number 29 and it's a 15 A fuse. The icon that represents the fuse is like a little light like this one:

it sounds like something is shorting out and blowing the fuse,the common thing is if something metal has got into the cigaret lighter socket and then shorts across blowing the fuse.

That wasn't it, I took the entire socket out en insulated the end wiring... it still blows... Anything else?

the cig lighters themselves can cause a short. try leaving lighter in glove-box and interior light off alternate nights to determine the problem circuit, thanks steve

Okay I finally seem to have narrowed it down, the fuse blows whenever I pop the trunk. (It's an sedan, not a hatchback) I took the light bulb and the socket from the trunk light off and it still blows. I can't seem to find the switch. Where could the switch/short be?
