shovell
Hi there i was wondering if anyone could help me?? i have a mk4 escort and i have lowered it by 60mm already and its on 15 inch steelies with 195/45/15 on them, and the front are already very close to the arches but i am thinkin about putting a set of small banded steelies on it, but i am worried about the arches scrubbing on the tyres, but does anybody know if it will or a way round it?? cheers matt
vinnyvangough
Without knowing what size wheels and tyres you are putting on it how is anyone ever going to be able to tell you if it will scrub or not? What size wheel? What width wheel? What size tyre?

vinnyvangough
Well you should be able to run 205 tyres no problem or maybe 215's with a stretch. To make it look right i'd go for 14" banded steels with a 215 tyre with small stratch and then get a set of coilovers and bring the cr down to the right height. If your gonna do it do it properly. Dont go messing about with just springs, as your shocks will soon give up and you'll end up making more work for your self. Spend some cash on some adjustable coilovers.
