Has anyone tried it?

Are there any other "water free" cleaners like that you guys would suggest is better?

Also, what towels would you use to apply and buff the product? im worried that a micro fiber with a massive pile will scratch

Don't touch it with a barge pole.

Optimum No Rinse is 10 times better, and due to its concentration ratios, is also cheaper.

Also - having a pile on a towel is a good thing, it gives somewhere for dirt to sit rather than rubbing against your paint...
