Hi, i'm looking to buy a used fiesta and am just wondering if there is anything in particular that I should be looking out for. The ones i'm looking at are 2004/5 petrol with between 20,000-40,000 miles on the clock. When does the cam belt need changed?

thanks in advance,

Russell

hi fiestas problems are quite well documented on this forum. could scare but in genral there good reliable cars. cam belts change at 100,000 miles or 8 years according to ford schedule. dont know how much cash your spending but will be some cheap old shape bargains now new shape is available. might stretch you into later cars.haggle hard . bag yourself a bargain VAT at 15% will also save you a few quid if you buy from a dealer. Honest john car review web site may also give usefull info.good luck.

1.4 Zetec has an official interval of 5 years/80K for cambelt change ( the 100,000 or 8 years is for the 1.25 zetec )
