the interior light switch is set to work when the doors are opened or closed, but unforntunately the lights do not go off when the doors are closed. PLEASE HELP!!!!

i dont know if you focus is equipped with this but the interior light could be on a delay and extinguist after about 10 seconds, do they go off if you turn the ignition on or lock the car? it could be a fault switch in the door pillar.
