If this is the "new" Fiesta ST supposedly caught lapping around the Nurburgring racetrack the other day - I'll each my own faeces!

Surely not?!?!

lol the front looks... erm, different.

Looks like its a North American Fiesta judging by the larger rear bumper, chrome LED front bezels, 'passenger airbag off' buttom on the centre console, and the slightly different headlights.

Edit: oh yeah and the SES badge on the rear is a give away too lol

if that is the ST it wont be the body for it, simply just testing the engine rather than seeing what the body looks like... they do this with alot of cars and not just ford, at the end of the day its not hard just to sit any old Shell on top of a chassis

It's obvious that some attempt by Ford has been made to hide the real front grille by adding that cover. Leaves just enough gap for airflow to the radiator. But as the badge is hidden, I dont think thats whats going to appear in the future.

Found this on youtube, not sure if it's been posted on here before, but it shows a few different ones that have had their photo's snapped.

All I'm gunna say atm, is it seemed in a hurry to get back in the garage at the end, away from the cameras!

I don't suppose anyone can translate? :(

Well spotted, however, both white Fiesta's come from/go to the same garage at the start/end of the video.

Does anybody actually read the article?

It clearly says that the front end is disguised and it will have a bespoke bodykit. It will be the same body as the current Fiesta with the bespoke bodykit fitted. They couldn't afford to tool up for different shell/panels for one car in the range and keep the price reasonable.

I've heard this also. But have heard there will be a new front grill, hence the disguising. Not sure if this is what you meant. I've read several articles myself, which one are you referring to?

Still no official confirmation though... But if you were Ford, would you confirm a ~180ps ST when your just about to put the 134ps "Metal" on sale? hmmm

The one that is in the opening post of this thread.

Why not? They are 2 different cars at differing points in the market. One will be considerably dearer than the other and people in the market for the 134ps version may well not be able to afford the ST or be prepared to wait till it comes out. Anyone in the market for a new hot hatch aren't going to buy a Ford anyway, as they don't make one and haven't since the Focus ST.
