ben5010
Hi, I've got a Ford Fiesta MK4 1.3 8v 1998 and the heaters are blowing cold constantly even tho the engine is running at the right temp. the pipes going into the bulkhead are both hot and there are no air locks in the system is there any common problems like this with these fiesta's? ikarma70
try disconnecting the heater valve unit from the power and reconnect it,if the solenoid is working, you should here it clicking as it opens/closes. if you don't hear that click then the solenoid is knackered. ben5010
is that the valve on the bulkhead?
ikarma70
is that the valve on the bulkhead? yes it is and has 4 hoses connected to it. disconnect the power from the heater unit with the electrics off then turn the power on,heater controls on and reconnect it and as i said before if its ok you should hear the solenoid clicking into the open position. thats how i tested mine when it was blowing cold.
