Hi everyone

Got an 1985 XR3I that has been standing for 12 years, got it running ever so briefly today was there was still a little fuel in the pipes, put some fresh fuel in but still wont start, we don't think there's any fuel getting through the pipes, so we're thinking pump, relay or blockage in the pipes. It had a new pump on it 12 years ago just before it got parked up, but then again we can't hear it working when the ignition is on. Any hints?

Thanks in advance :)

Matt

Have you tried changing the fuel filter? That may be clogged.

You can find bits on eBay and specialist breakers cheaper than that. Could be fuel pump but its more likely the relay for the fuel pump and they are rare as rocking horse ****.
