Hi. I'm having major trouble when playing MP3-CD's in my new fiesta (new shape). The cd's always skip and pause during the songs, normal audio cd's work fine. I've been through about 50 cds now, from 6 different brands, burning at different speeds, using different burners, encoding the mp3s at different bitrates. I've exhausted every option to get the thing working.

I've taken it into my local ford garage (bristol street) to be checked over 5 times now and they say they can't find anything wrong with it, and even if they did i would have to pay for a replacement because i'm using cd-r's and not pressed cd's......... Its impossible to find a pressed cd with mp3 songs on it that isn't an audio book.....

The CD's play fine in my clarion unit in my old KA.....

Is there a service menu on the car that lets you tweak settings? Do you think ford will help me at all as the car is in warranty?

Any help would be much appreciated. I love my new car, but the stereo problems have taken the sheen off it. Can anybody else try and replicate my problem to see if its a problem on all new fiestas.

Just gone outside and tried mine had no skipping just plays as normal
