New to the forum!

My girlfriend has a 1996 Ford Ka2, it has 33K miles on the clock! the engine seems to have develpoed to be noisy and the fuel consumption is bad (75miles from 10 of fuel in a 1.3 petrol car.)

I am quite technical along with my dad and his mechanic mates! has anyone here had the same issues or know what could be causing it?

Thanks for all help and advice!

on the noisey engine ,
is it the tappets pinking ?
if it is then do a oil change & then add a bottle of tappet additive with it m8
it stops the pinking noise.
on the fuel consumption part i think it's not so bad is it ??

give her a good service & change the plugs oil & all filters
