I have been told that the Cougar was based on the Ford Mondeo, so was wondering what was different (apart from the interior and body).
Does the 2.5 V6 cougar have the same running gear as the st24? if not , again, what are the differences? Which one has better performance, and if it's the mondeo, can I mod my Cougar to the Mondeo's standard?
The only reason i ask is I intend to do a lot of the work on the car myself, and I wanted to know if I could buy Mondeo parts to go on the Cougar.
I've had to buy an amrican Haynes (Chilton they are called) manual for it, for: Ford Contour/Mystique/Cougar (95 - 99)
