Chipped Paintwork...not Happy

Some A.Hole has managed to chip my paint work on the drivers door with what looks like their door, I havent even had the car a month! The mark stands out like a sore thumb and was wondering if anyone can recommend on how to not make it seen so easily. I have put some lacquer on it already as it has taken the top layer off. Would anyone suggest using touch up paint?

Bummer - sorry hear that. Why not give chipsaway a call see if they can't sort it out for you. Trying to do it yourself will never give you the best results.

Timbo, join the club mate. They left a nice shade of red on my white car too..... I don't park beside red cars anymore just incase it was them!

Thanks, i dont suppose you know how much it will cost do you?

I think it should be a rule that people who dont care about their vehicles should leave one extra space.

And if i could post a pic i would but i have to upload it to a hosting site first...

Ok, it might not look much but it stands out like a sore thumb

Timbo.... post that picture on your facebook and yes, alot of people will agree that it might not look much..... but I completely agree with you, that would definitely stand out, and if it affects how you feel about the car, then its enough to spend money on fixing.

It looks like they haven't went through to the metal.... so although a polish wouldn't fix the problem, getting a proper good machine polish in about it would certainly round the edges of the problem and make it less visible.

Ouch, that looks quite nasty. Even more of a bummer cos you've only had the car for such a short time :(

That's the reason I always try to park out of the way with plenty of free spaces around me when possible.

I've got a small dent (not chipped thankfully) on my rear drivers side wheel arch that was probably done in a car park. Not got round to sorting it yet, but every time I wash the car I can't help but notice it

Chipsaway will probably charge around £80 to sort it out - thats what i paid for a bad bumper scratch a couple of years ago.
