johnH
ive been told this is linked to injector seals breaking down. pretty common on petrols again so i am told lol

jeebowhite
I have seen the gaskets / seals around the injectors have allowed the smell into the engine bay and into the cabin, check all the seals and make sure they are clean!

jeebowhite
if you get the car onto ramps, can you check the underside and see if you can actually smell any petrol at all on the underside of the car, it could be that its heating the exhaust and a crack is expanding with the pressure allowing petrol / gaseous petrol to escape.
