Replacing Washer Motor

So my front windscreen washers aren't working and there is no usual whine of the motor trying to pump the fluid. I'm thinking the motor is done and needs replacing? From what I read of my Haynes manual it's inside the reservoir. Have I read it right? Has anyone replaced a washer motor?

before you go replacing it, have you checked the fuse is ok? if you can get hold of a multimeter you can also check if there is power getting to the pump..

Yea I check the fuse but heard the motor for a second today then it went offagain so it must be a loose wire somewhere
