BHeart
Hi I need to buy some top up oil and came across this one on Ford Online Parts: http://www.fordonlineparts.co.uk/product/Genuine_Ford_Oil_5W30_Formula_F_5litres_Fully_Synthetic_F1502266-100 It's 5L of Fully Synthetic 5/30 and costs £18.38 incl and is recommended for all Ford models. Can this oil be bought at my local dealership for this price and can any owner's recommend this and also what alternatives? Thanks, BHeart
karl46
Normally online deals are just that, only on line. Looking at the link it mentions "Formula F", now I don't know what "F" stands for but it also mentions Transit. I'd be wary normally new Fords specify "A1". Tesco have been selling Castrol fully synthectic 5/30 for around £8.00 for 2.5 ltr. Ford recommend Castrol..
karl46
Sorry forgot to mention if buying from Tesco to check that the label specifies "A1 for Fords" They also sell A3 and they often get misplaced onthe shelf. Saves any mishaps.

Is that just the big main stores that sell the oil? I.e. Tesco Extra. Thanks again, BHeart
