I am hoping you can help me, I have a P reg ford fiesta that has only done 63,000 miles but there is 1 problem. The hand brake light is always on in the car even when the hand brake is released but apart from this it is perfect mechanically. Can you advise what this is or how much it will cost to repair? I have read that this could be brake circuit fault Help!

check the sensor near the handbrake its most proboaly that just remove the protective cover that is around the hand brake it should be near the main cable i think

may be a silly suggestion but have you checked your brake fluid

as i think the handbrake light comes on when the fluid is low

I've even known this to happen when the brake linings are getting low. Are there wear sensors on your pads??
