M.o.t Failure - Help Please!

Hello everyone.

I have had a 1998 Ford Fiesta Encore 1.3 for 3 and a half years.

Its had a lot done to it, but the other day it failed its M.O.T on the following things:

Reg plate lamp bulb not working [1.1.C.1c]

Reg plate lamp insecure [1.1.C.1b]

Nearside Headlight aim too high [1.8]

Offside Headlight aim too low [1.8]

Nearside [front to rear] brake pipe excessively corroded [3.6.B.2c] **DANGEROUS**

Offside [front to rear] brake pipe excessively corroded [3.6.B.2c] **DANGEROUS**

Nearside front brake pipe corroded [3.6.B.2c]

Offside front brake pipe corroded [3.6.B.2c]

Nearside rear (outer sill) Subframe Mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded [2.4.A.2]

Offside rear (outer sill) subframe mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded [2.4.A.2]

I was told by the garage they wouldn't even touch the sills. They refused to do it as it could not be welded due to the rust. I'm guessing this means new sills are needed...

How much for an entire repair to pass its m.o.t?

Thanks everyone.

Anyone? Don't worry I'll not take you for gospel, I just want a rough idea of cost and if its worth it, or should I break it and buy a new car.

I would hate to break the bad news to you but i think its time for the scrap yard.

The cost of those repairs will probably be more than the value of the car, you would be cheaper finding another car with a years mot on it.

Yeah, I had a feeling about that when the garage refused to do it.

I've listed it on eBay as a brake or spares, les see how that goes. Thank you!
