Fitting Alloys On A Ford Ka

Featured Replies

My girlfriend's KA currently has the standard 13" 5J steel wheels with 165/65 tyres and we'd like to replace them with 14" alloys. I'm struggling to find second-hand rims of the design we like for the KA, although I know I've seen plenty of them on the road! I can however find the same design from a Ford Escort - 14" with 165/60 tyres and the same fitment 4x108, but they are 6J.

Does anyone have any experience of fitting 14" 6J wheels to an unmodified KA? Although 165/60R14 tyres are fine, with the extra rim width I'm wondering whether they'll either stick out too far or potentially rub on full lock.

Thanks in advance.

Ben
