I am not aware of any common faults for 2.5T volvo engined smaxes.
This is the most powerful and smooth engine in the range. The only drawback is - ford garages do not have qualified personnel to address issues. The best experience of smaxers was to come for help to a nearest volvo dealer. The price is not quite the same though.
