Lenny
Do you know which version of Windows you have? If Windows 7, do you know if it is 32bit, or 64bit? if it is a case that the software is installed on your system, but it wont run on your system then. right click on the software icon scroll down to '' Properties'' in properties select ''Compatibility'' then you have the option to run this programme in compatability mode for: Windows XP Windows 2000 Windows 98 Windows 95 B)

fernsie
Sorry, never spotted in your original post that it was Windows 7 What eBay seller did you get it from? A quick look on eBay throws up this seller astonbarck who claims to supply two varsions of the install CD. One for 32bit and 64bit - Do you have an install CD that mentions anything about supporting 64bit? You say you can't see the unit in Device Manager. Are there any devices listed as 'Unknown Device', or 'Other Device'?

Are there any devices listed as 'Unknown Device', or 'Other Device'? It was super-trade-direct eBay seller, in the installation cd under drivers there is a folder called i386 and one called amd64 none of these have an exe file in them just .dll files.............no unknown or other devices found in device manager, its as though windows just dose not see it at all.if it wasnt lit I would say it is faulty!! fernsie
OK, first problem ... I would say we need to know if the unit works at all before figuring out if you have all relavant software to make it work on your computer For the sake of a fail safe test method, do you have access to a Windows XP computer you could test it on? fernsie
it certainly says on the guys add that it is compatible with 64bit systems, however, unless your laptop happens to have an amd processor, than, based on what you've said, i am still unsure if it would work on most win 7 64bit machines anyway ... one problem at a time
Preee
Compatible or not it should still show in device manager .
rugrat2
Compatible or not it should still show in device manager . right then update just had it on xp desktop and scanner is found but is not called f-super it is under system devices called usb serial port comm 14...... I then installed formidable 2.03 off cd and ran it,it then connects through port 1 and asks me which model of car, and then tells me to connect scanner to obd port on car!! so I assume it is working ok on desktop, maybe I am looking under wrong heading in device manager on win 7 system....cheers so far lads... fernsie
Compatible or not it should still show in device manager . There is a chance that it could be there somewhere, but maybe listed as something you wouldn't expect it to be - As I say, one issue at a time ... best to try it on a tried and tested operating system

Blokas
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I've tried to look for answer, but haven't found any in other topics, so if you mind could you answer my question. I also have started thinking about buying myself code scanner, but i don't know which to choose. Is there any difference between F-super and F-super mk2? Is mk2 worth its higher price? I would be grateful for your help.
jeebowhite
Mk2 is for the modern ford's, those aged over 2007 I believe as they don't work with the f super 1.
Blokas
Thank you for your reply. Mine C-max is 2004 so i guess i'll just get f-super.
jeebowhite
Yeah I used f super on my 55 cmax
jace1969
Does the forscan have the option to do the airbag light, mine works A1 on the ELM327. I have about 3 programs that work but can't seem to find the airbag reset option.
jeebowhite
It can reset airbag codes. As long as you use it with a modified elm cable if you have it for 500000 kbps then yes it should work
