Ford Focus Mk1 Reverse Light Not Working

ello i have found a problem with my focus mk1 reverse light is not working i have changed the bulb and bulb holder and its still not working can you help me plz as mot is next monday and i have a loud knock from the front when i floor it or stop quick i have know idea what it be any ideas would be greatfull thanks

have you checked the fuses for the reverse light issue

- not sure what fuse it is, but perhaps someone else can answer that, otherwise just check them all

not sure about the knocking noise. thats something that would be hard to diagnose on a forum

- do you feel the knock when whatever the noise hits makes contact?

- are you able to record the noise and post it on the forum?

Could also be the sensor at the gearbox itself....

hi thanks for your help i have checked all the fuses and the noises was the top mount can it be the sencor were the gear stick is

if you bridge the two wires at the sensor and then select reverse with the ignition on, if the bulb lights you know its the sensor at fault.
