Mondeo Water Ingress

i have a 2007 mondeo 2.0ltr deisel which i love EXCEPT every time i open the boot or the rear doors after heavy rain the hatchback drips water into the boot area and the rear doors drop water onto your shoes!!!!! i have owned mondeo,s for many years and have NEVER had this problem before, to me it is a BIG design fault, is this the same for all mk 4 mondeos or am i just unlucky!! any advice on a cure would be MUCH appreciated,

mk3 and mk4 do this so much that ford now do a seal for the tailgate that stops it happening.
