Focus Mk1 Electric Window Fault

Hi. I have a 1999 Mk1 Focus Ghia and my electric window in the front passenger door has stopped working. I seem to have used up all my luck for this year as the window is stuck fully down in the door and it has started snowing heavily where I live (currently in Stockholm)!

I was driving along and all of a sudden the window started to go up and down by itself. After a minute of this, the window went all the way down and died. From the drivers side, all the buttons work for the other windows. Nothing for the front passenger. With the other three, the interior light dims and you can hear the clicking noise. However, no such dim light or clicking noise for the front passenger button. The window button on the front passenger door also does not work and no clicking or lights dimming.

Does this sound like an electrical issue rather than a motor issue? I have seen the posts about tapping the motor to get it working, but the electrics to that door seem to be dead.

There is a possibility that the buttons on the drivers side door got wet through all of the snow when opening the door. This is all I can think of that might have effected it. To be sure, I have taken the drivers side buttons out and drying them inside.

Is there a way to get the window up manually? I cant have the the window open with the snow we are getting!

Thanks for your help in advance!!
