Just had our focus mot'd and it has failed on

OS front sub frame corroded and seriously weakened

among others that he can easily fix....

I'm asking on behalf of my partner, he is quite handy with cars. but is wanting more info into changing the sub frame himself, is it easy enough done for someone who does have knowledge in fixing cars?

edit to add: can the subframe be changed with the car up on ramps or does the wheels have to be off the ground?

thanks for any help.
