Preee
iNath You say it was not a dash test sweep ? But please do tell me how you managed to activate CC while you were stationary then ? You need to be traveling at least 20mph before you can even turn it on.;)

Presumably a testing/diagnostic procedure as this didn't happen before I had cruise. I know there is another way to make all the dash lights come on which Lez has demonstrated. If you indeed fitted and activated CC on your Fiesta , then i'm sure you could put the other guy's minds at rest by uploading a video of you actually using it , because i get the feeling that either you have fittied it and in no way wish to help the other's requesting help from you ,or infact you have not fitted it at all. But if i'm wrong please except my humble apologies ,as an ignition on will not put their minds at rest.
DanGull
It's not a bulb sweep - because they're not all on. I believe the startup test explanation. Anyway, why would anyone claim to have cruise control working when they don't? It's easily disproved at a meet - which he's attended in the past. Lez
or you could get a time machine and go back to the day you bought your fezzie and say "no! i want cruise control! i want a titty mr salesman, and ill pay the extra grand to save myself the hassle in the future..." if you buy from ford, not second hand... :(

dLockers
Anyone in Northampton available to be a passenger in my car whilst I cruise down the A45? Will require a signed witness statement, sworn oath on the owner's handbook, becoming blood brothers, a pinky swear and your first born. But then I'm still not sure dLockers would be satisfied... You need a Titanium steering wheel (£130 from Ford), laptop & Ford VCM (around £5,000), the ASBUILT file for your VIN (priceless) & then some binary & hex knowledge. lol, funnily enough my girlfriends sister gets a lift from me to Northampton regularly. You said the ASBUILT file is the same for all cars, so it's not really priceless now, is it? Post a video as requested, or at least provide some detailed instructions to help others. iNath
You said the ASBUILT file is the same for all cars, so it's not really priceless now, is it? No I didn't? The ASBUILT is unique to each VIN number. It contains the VIN number and set of binary instructions telling the car what features it does or doesn't have. Post a video as requested, or at least provide some detailed instructions to help others. Use my phone whilst driving and get 3points/£60 fine? I think not ;)

Post instructions on how to decode the ASBUILT file if you're so sure you've cracked it
MartynS
Don't the buttons do anything when you're stationary? Video of that?
dLockers
Don't the buttons do anything when you're stationary? Video of that? Either the guy is full of it, or is he singularly the most unhelpful 'club member' that exists. He's apparently done something terrific, that loads of people are after, and he is completely unwilling to help in any way. A grade 'A' tool.
TDCiST
Don't the buttons do anything when you're stationary? Video of that? On every car i've driven with CC it will only work above 30/40mph... so when stationary no lights, nothing... Anyone in Northampton available to be a passenger in my car whilst I cruise down the A45? Will require a signed witness statement, sworn oath on the owner's handbook, becoming blood brothers, a pinky swear and your first born. But then I'm still not sure dLockers would be satisfied... Northampton... not a million miles away from me mate! an hour maybe, i'd gladly sign my life to the devil, do a dance on one leg, whatever, to be your witness! Would gladly meet halfway in Milton keynes area lol!

That's correct, doesn't work at less than 30mph I think. DanGull
Incidentally - I can confirm that the cruise control light does illuminate after the ignition is turned on in my car - along with all the other lights shown in iNath's picture.
mikester
Dockers are you like this on every forum you're a member of?! Nath doesn't have to help anyone especially those who show little or no faith in his responses. I can 100% vouch for Nath, he's got me USB in my car when it wasnt stock. Plus i wouldn't be paying him for parts and labour if he wasn't legit. Edited January 2, 2012 by DanGull Edited just to maintain a level field.
orcomma
in my titty, the CC switches off when RPM < 1000 rather than road speed (from what i can figure out) but still dlockers - nath is NOT a tool! even though he did have a "go" at me for not demisting my windows (i'll forgive him in time)
