HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hi everyone new to the forum heard it was good so thought i would post a question up.

I need to change the waterpump on my mk6 fiesta and have no idea how to do it as ive never attempted to replace one before. If anyone could give me some steps or a quick explanation in how to do it that would be great!

Thanks Adam :D

ok dont want to sound insulting but the water pump is a pain in the rear to do if im right its driven off the timing belt so unless you can lock up the cams you may struggle to get it running once you have had it off i would advise taking it to your local garage for this doing if the timing is out when you put it back together by a couple of degrees it will make your motor run like crap hope this helps ging

if as said above its driven off the timing belt you will need to get yourself a locking kit..

his is true the kits are not expensive and they go into the back of the cams and fits flush to the top of the head so you will also need to remove the rocker cover i would also fit a neww rocker gasket at the same time some people reuse them but i prefur to replace than reuse its not hard to do if you have the correct equiptment

How confident are you with a set of spanners? I would leave this one well alone if you lack confidence/experience IMO As the last thing you want to do is mess the timing up or damage valves...
