quick question... the orange cable for the 12v socket you found i dont suppose that would be used to power the electrics for a tow bar or something?? just trying to work out why it is there lol

it could be for the tow bar wiring mate, im not sure,

but the plug on the end of it, is an exact fit for the rear of the 12v socket and the RS and ST models of focus dont have spare tyres in the boot instead they carry a 12v compressor so the wiring may be there because the ST and RS models of focus have a 12V socket installed in the boot to power the compressor im not sure, but it works perfectly when engine is on and off.

just a quick one for anyone following this guide, i have just noticed half way through that if you have the cree Q5 reverse light AND the cree Q5 rear fog light they wont fit unless you cut the new bulb holder at a slant as the bulbs clash...
its just a case of trial and error,

]Nice one mate,
you got a really good bond on that without using too much glue,
hopfully my unit will accept the Cree Q5 fog light bulb the way it is positioned at the momment

Very nice Clean Job their Aaron,
looking foward to seeing a few pictures of the bulbs in action mate, when the glue sets on the light unit.
i have yet to purchase a Cree Q5 Red fog light bulb so id like to see one of it in operation too mate.

i will get some day and night pics tomorrow... im hopping you'll be able to fit the cree fog light along side your reverse light. failing that you can always sell yours on ebay and make another lol
but the fog light is sooo bright and the twin reverse light ... wow... its EPIC lol makes you want to reverse everywhere haha
next on the list... hmmm... iv got some 6x9's iv had for about a year i might put them in the parcell shelf?? will have to start a new topic i think get some other opinions....
Anyways twin reverse lights are ace... pics will follow sometime tomorrow!!

spotted it mate, but i didnt think my comments on it would be welcome
what happened did you slip with the stanley blade?

i ended up in the docters when sealing around the led badge with a syringe full of silicone lmao the plunger broke so i began to use a screwdriver, but the plunger head split, and the screwdriver went out through the bottom of the syringe and in to my hand lol taking the silicone with it. 2 stitches later i was good as new lol

yea the good old stanley blade trick lol i was removing the old electrical tape from the reverse cables lol but found the fabric tape was alot more supple and agile alowing me to continue haha plus it was pretty stealth lol
ouch iv seen someone do a similar thing to you when i went fishing!!!
he decided to try and force a barbed needle through a hard bait as you can imagen he ended up sinking it into his index finger lol... he then goes hospital and the had to push it all the way through so they could cut off the barb, then pull it back the way it went in

Nice picture mate,
a single cree Q5 reverse bulb throws out a 8-10 foot beam on its own so the two togeather would cover a 20ft radious on the rear of the car lol on each side. B) looks quality mate,

So that's how you hatchback chaps have two reverse and two foglights! Clever! B)

My conversion was similar, except i had to run fresh cable (both sides) to the bumper area, as the estate version has no lights in the rear bumper.

I bought a left hand drive main rear light, plus a left hand drive reverse light to carry out my conversion.

So my fogs are roughly half way up the car, housed in the lower sections of the main rear light clusters, the reverse lights, in the same position as you chaps...
