Colour Coding

Hi, I am looking to get my black strips on the side of my focus colour coded, as well as the rear bump strip and front fog lights

Would this be a big job for me to take on myself or would I be best to take it to a pro ?

Another thing is can the side strips be removed all together ?

Thanks

You can buy primered parts for the car, just need colour spraying and then clear coating.

I'm thinking of doing this myself but will most likely take the job to a resprayers so as to get the best finish.

Fog light brows are available on eBay.

Rear bump strip i assume you mean the bit on top of the bumper - i'm pretty sure you can buy chromed ones that look pretty good.

Chromed Fog light surrounds are available oneBay too.

You can remove the side trim strips but it will leave loads of holes and clips, maube this will look better?

Just a few ideas for you.

Let me know what you think as this is what i'm thinking of personally.

I colour coded my fog light surrounds (the top part) and the bootlid handle myself. It was time consuming but not difficult. I don't fancy tackling the side trim though (mainly due to the hassle of removing and refitting)!

All paint work is 90% preperation and 10% application.

Just seen you have the lower part of the front bumper colour coded, I was planning on doing this however was told that it was a waste of time because the paint is always cracking off due to stone chips.

Whats your experience?

@ Stoney871 thanks for the links to the pre primed parts, think I will use these and get the side trims sprayed by a professional. Wouldn't be a big chrome person so wont be going near any chrome parts, thanks anyway.

@james132 this was done by the previous owner, its a good job, there are a few stone chips but noting serious, makes the car look far better so defiantly worth it.
