I've got about 2inchs of play in my 04 thunder is there any way I can adjust it or do I have to buy a new Steering box

Had mine replaced under warranty and asked the Ford dealer if the box can be adjusted. They advised that the lock nut and adjuster is for initial set up of the steering box and not really for adjustment. Despite this another forum member has adjusted the box himself and has reported a good result, see other posting relating to steering play.
