hi all right my diesel tank is leaking again so time to buy a new one .. looking on ebay they range from £60 for a mk5 escort diesal (car) to £110 for a mk6 escort 55d van tank .. eh ..... cant be that much difference surly .

iv bin told that most of the ford diesel tanks 1.8 mk5 car fit any other diesel ford its just the rubber pipes to the body which are different .. can u clarify this

I wouldn't be surprised if there are common tank sizes.

The price difference could well be the result of supply/availability rather than any significant physical differences between the tanks.
