b1g_dav3
Well today I bought myself some of the Mk3 Focus washer jets, the mist type and figured I'd go for the heated versions, knowing full well they don't hook up or anything, so now I'm going to ask has anyone managed to hook theirs up to be heated? Would really like this option. What I want to know are the following; 1) Are they heated in the sense they heat the liquid up, or just the tips so they don't freeze over? 2) How do they work on the Focus, are they tied in to the heated screen or the washer activation? 3) How to get them to work on my Fiesta :P Thanks. Lez
Hi! I bought a pair new ford Focus heated jets, and wired to the heated screen, now when i defrost the screen the jets warm up as well.
Nico.
i know someone did a quick cheap job on this ages back, where they cut out the insulation on the engine where the jets are, letting the engine heat get to them which just about worked
b1g_dav3
Do I have to break into any wires or anything, or can I just make some wires up and plug them into something? Not so keen on cutting lumps out of the insulation if honest, thanks for the tip though.
ONETrueSaturday
Whenever you are using existing wiring for tapping off etc never cut/join always use cable splicers.....
