JakeB93
Hi, im new to the group and need some help with my ford focus MK1, 51 plate. Baught a HID Kit the other day and it works but the bulb doesnt fit in the socket, i.e the circle metal plate on the base of the bulb with the 3 bumps on it. Its too small to fit in properly. I've looked at some bulb adaptors but cant find any for my mk1 focus. I baught a 4300K HID Kit with h7 bulbs if this helps. Also if you have any hints and tips please dont hesitate to say. Thanks in advance! Jake :)
charlie1310
Hi jake, you would have to look at your focus handbook, sounds like you have the incorrect bulb?the focus could be H4?worth a check.
ukphillad
Hi jake, you would have to look at your focus handbook, sounds like you have the incorrect bulb?the focus could be H4?worth a check. That might be one of the reasons, sometimes there are different types of bulbs that fit the Fords depending on the year and the model. Another option that you might find will be the way to go is to drill a hole in the current headlamps. I have heard of quite a few people who have done this, and it may not be the easiest or best thing to do, it can be done! Your best bet is to have a look at the Owners manual and see if you bought the correct light bulb. If so, then you will have to get the drill out
