Key Fob Issues

I have changed the battery in my( focus2002) key fob ,did what the ford book stated, turned key 4 times to the position II and so on ,but still it won't lock the doors remotely ,any other ideas from you clever lot ?

Thanx Dezwez, I did try that,but it did not work,I'll try again though most likley user error.

I tried it again=fail, so I did the thing of 'FFS 'and chucked the key into the pass footwell,hey !Removed! presto it works now.must have been a dodgy connection or debris inside the key fob

Hi i know I'm a bit late but i had the same problem with my fob and it is just dust getting inside

i cleaned mine out and its like new
