As for foot well lighting I believe there's a few threads discussed on this, shouldn't take you long to find if you use the search bar. Though I would advise against painting the drums anything other than black (calipers are fine) Drums on a car are not normally a feature you want to draw attention to... Though I would advise against painting the drums anything other than black (calipers are fine) Drums on a car are not normally a feature you want to draw attention to... i would advise not to paint calipars or drums full stop as paint on them causes them to over hear and cause brake fade. though if you want to paint them do it properly do not use hammerite as that really keeps the heat in, go to ur local auto spares or Halfords or the like and buy a tim of the heat proof/heat treated transfer spray paint in blue as that will do a better job and stop the brake parts from over heating as bad. also id advise in not putting paint on the flat surface round the wheel studs as an un evan surface can make you get brake shudder. A thin layer of hammerite is not going to cause the braking system of a small car to overheat. lol have you put your hand on a set of fiesta front discs to see how hot they get even on a short journy, put it this way ive seen people burn to the bone, im a ford tech and have been for a long time and hammerite is the worst possible type of paint to put on brakes be it a small car or a big car, the additives in it to stop metal rusting through it causes brakes to over heat a lot more then if 2k was used and at that its not good to use 2k, why be stupid enough and arrogant enough to turn the blind eye and save a few pennys rather than just buy heat proff paint that allows heat transfer.. come on now guy you use your brakes to stop do you not belive yours is important enough to keep rite. I used a wire brush to get any crap off along with a steam cleaner and pre paint wipes then painted on with a simple brush.
