How the interior of the Zetec S should have been in the first place... Posted Image

Hmmm, I'm not loving that interior as I hoped I might. It looks like they've just plonked in some Recaros to a standard interior - not much effort to integrate the look as, say, the Renaultsport models or the R badged VWs.

Looks like keyless start as standard, one would assume the Recaros are heated (hope they come in more than one colour mind, that orange is horrible) - no auto lights as standard by the looks of that interior though.

Blue is a terrible colour to have on instruments and dials at nights - imagine starting at your full beam indicator all the time.

Oh, and the wheel choice could have been better.

Can't say i'm a big fan of that. Not too keen on the front end, and the colour coded small section at the rear just don't look right. As for the inside, them bucket seats look very uncomfy, and would annoy the hell outa me on a long drive.

As a whole, the car don't really "shout out" at me to buy one :(

Looking more closely at the interior again, it does appear to be a bit of a "bodge job" from Ford in some respects, especially the door trim. Why not change the whole design rather than the new door pulls which wouldn't look out of place in a 90s Escort!

As mentioned, I hope the seats are available in other colours.

I do like some aspects of it but the Fiesta interior seems really limited in terms of variation between models - mainly because the stereo unit and screen take up so much space. Some carbon fibre trim, proper metal pedals and leather on the doors (i.e. Focus ST) wouldn't have gone a miss.

I'm loving the spec, especially Ford Sync, loving the power, 178bhp is more then enough, loving the 40MPG too, loving the wheels actually as I am imagining the car in white with the rear windows blacked out like my current car :D And I think those Recaros in black would look awesome! And this interior if you look closely has been slightly redesigned and the centre arm rest looks like it's leather too?

Price being talked about is around the £16500 mark, that's not far off what my Zetec S cost me!

The front of that thing is terrible, can't say the back is much better... The Stoffler valance and Zetec S/Mountune front bumper look 10x better, honestly could have done a lot better style wise. No nice arches either... bit meh. Oly thing I like is the seats and arm rest. No winner for me there, plus if the high price estimate's are anything near correct, I'll definitely not be going for it. £16,500 with Zetec S front end and Stoffler rear, yeah I might bite for a total of £17,500.

I'm still not sure on the front end and like someone said., I though this would be out in September, what is up with Ford! Good to see Ford SYNC and the torque vectoring included. Should be able to put down it's power well.

I was told by my dealer it would be out this year, it may still be as they can change minds and I've seen Autocar change it's price already! I would ask the dealer as they will know more.
