Has anyone here got any experience of fitting an ignition switch on a MK3 Mondeo?
Is it just a simple replacement, or will it have an effect on the immobiliser?

The immobiliser is in a ring that sits around the ignition barrel.
You should be able to move it out of the way and remove the barrel no problem.
