i have recently purchased a Ford mondeo Verona 1.8ltr which i have been after for a while, love these cars

the problem i am having is that the other day whilst driving home my car seemed to be losing power, so after pulling over

and checking under the bonnet for anything obvious got back in the car and found the engine was off but the dash lights

were still on and and tried to restart the engine to no avail, dash lights came on but not a peep from the engine.

After getting the car recovered i have tried various fuses but no joy.

noticed that the immobiliser still flashes even with key turne. can the immobiliser be bypassed ??

Any help or advice would be appreciated thanks

The immobiliser is integral to the ECU.

Could be the ECU has gone or possibly the transponder ring around the ignition barrel.

A trip to Ford I think.
