thought id share this little trinket of info. i got the idea from www.focushacks.com but they just mention the keyless entry.
well anyways this works on my car: 2006 1.8tdci 5 door zetec climate
ok, whats it about i hear you ask.
Basically when you press the unlock button on your fob you can have it so:
a. it opens all doors at the same time, on one press.
b. it opens driver door on first press, all others on second press.
What you need:
- your key fob
- 30 seconds of time
How to:
1. Unlock the car (to wake her up)
2. On your fob, press and hold at same time, Lock and Unlock
3. you should see your hazard lights flash twice.
4. lock your car, using the fob
5. test out this feature....enjoy.

Slightly different question about locking:
When I press the button to lock, the indicators flash once.
If I press twice, the indicators give a double-flash and there's a clunk as the deadlocking engages.
Is there any way to get the car to automatically double-lock (deadlock) every time, with just a single press of the button?
(2006/56 Mk2 Focus 1.8 TDCi Zetec.)

It could be done using ELM327 interface and ELM-FF2 software, there is such option in BCM (GEM) tab. You will find more info in related topic in guides section.

I've had a look at the guide and that kind of stuff scares the pants off me, full credit to everyone who did it though!
Guess I'll just stick with the double-press to deadlock

1. Unlock the car (to wake it up)..... Should this step be done using the key or pressing the fob? I always pressed the fob, or shouldn't it matter?
Focus 1.6 TDCi 2007
EDIT:
UPDATE: This method does NOT work on my car just been and tried to cancel it, using the key to unlock in step one.
