Richard S
Hi, I purchased a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec last year using Options from Polar Ford in St Helens. It's currently only done 2500 miles. I've had a letter from Polar ford informing me that the service is due on the vehicle and for me to book in. I'm not sure of the extact price but off the top of my head the letter mentioned something like £300ish which seems high to me. My question is, do we have the choice of servicing the car elsewhere at a non Ford garage to get it done cheaper? If we do this does it invalidate anything on the Options agreement? Would it make the GFV price lower at the end of our 2 years? Thanks, Richard.
btmaldon
The first service should only be about £150. Yes you can use any replicable garage to have your vehicle serviced including a brand new one Your warranty will not be invalidated, this is because of European law. Good luck
rojariggs
You can get it serviced at any VAT registered garage as long as they follow the Ford service schedule and use genuine Ford parts. It's also worth just phoning another couple of Ford dealers too as the prices are not set centrally and some dealers are cheaper than others.
