DanGull
There have been several threads recently asking about service costs for the Mk7. The purpose of this thread is for people to post their service costs, then an average can be taken and give folk an idea about how much they can expect to spend on servicing. I'll kick off as I think mine is one of the higher milers here these days! 1st (12500): £102.31 2nd (25000): £137.14 3rd: (37500): £292.18 (included new brake pads) 4th: (50000): £151.07 All done at Smiths Garage, Pinwall. aguycalledmal
Benfield Ford york road Leeds 3rd service £207 And they offered to change the battery in the keyless remote fob for £18.50 which I refused. They tried the hard sell by saying the fob will need reprogramming if anyone else does it. Changed battery when it got home and all working. SportyChick
I have my car on the 2 year ford options plan. Am I tied in to getting it serviced at Allen Ford? Had a salesman on today offering fixed service costs. 1 year £130 (10 months at £13) 2 year £276 (23 months at £12) What do people think? Is it worth it? Good value? Apparently if you cancel you get any spare money back.

Maleforce
Its interesting this subject has been brought up today, because I agreed to go ahead with a 33 payment plan of 15 pounds a month for my fiesta 1.6 diesel, this covers me for a full 3 years. I was told the service costs were 1st service 152, 2nd 167 and 3rd 280 which comes to 599 in total, the plan comes to 509.66 and the monthly payments are interest free so I thought it was a fair deal. My 1st payment is May 28th so I still have time to pull out. It seems all pay at the desk servicing costs come to about 600 over the 3 yr 36000 average milage. Can anyone guide me on this matter as the best way to go, either pay up front or pay at the desk. Thanks
