My wee baby Ford Ka '03 - the left signal sometimes wouldn't self cancel. Half of the time it cancels itself other half of time, it wouldn't. Right signal is all perfect.

I took the car to the garage to have a look. And of course, it behaved! They said they couldn't find anything wrong.

It sometimes work perfectly for couple of days then fail to self-cancel then resume working.

It's annoying me as I live in a town where roundabouts are everywhere!

Many thanks.

Hi Wilddenim,

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds to me like you may need to replace the stalk. could be that the stalk itself is damaged and doesnt always catch it.

If you are brave with screwdriver and spanner, you could always check out a local scrappy, and then swipe a stalk and switch yours?
