Hi Folks,
I have a problem with my wifes 08 plate Fusion.
The rear passenger door central locking is no longer working, either to lock or unlock.
It works fine when operated manually, and you can hear something trying to work inside the door when you operate the remote, but it doesn't actually manage to lock or unlock itself.
Before I strip the door apart, can anyone tell me if this is likely to be a linkage that needs to be lubricated, or if this is one of those all in one sealed units that I'm just going to have to replace.
Many thanks
MW

If you're hearing movement in all doors but not locking on one I'd say a loose or jammed linkage.
If no noise, then likely solenoid or wiring.

Everything looks fine from what I can see / expose without having the door card off.
Has no-one had the back door apart before?
