Getting the car serviced and Zetec s body kit sprayed on Wednesday so ill be broke until July but its definitely on the list to be done.

Glad you like what i've done to it.

1. Got the wheels 2nd hand off a guy on another Focus forum but had them refurbed at The Wheel Specialists in Derby/Burton and thats what they came up with they are not a standard colour, glad you like it though 8)

2. THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE MOD

They are not painted, they are silver trims that cannot be bought separate from Ford therefore I bought 4 door cars from a club member for £41.58 inc P&P is was a job I've been putting off for a while as I know it would take time and patience and if it went wrong would cost me.....

The handles are bonded onto the door cars along with the carpet trim therefore requires lots of drilling and filing of the old and new door card.

It was a nice day and I was in a good mood so decided to spend the afternoon drilling, filing and sticking.

I drilled it all off from the back of the door card and put it all back together with a hot glue gun :)

RESULT

3. I had the whole back bumper painted at a bodyshop

4. The handling is much improved and its not a harsh ride but is slightly firmer and less roll on corners feels much safer.

5. They are the CC foglight surrounds and will not fit standard fog lights as if you notice I have the CC front bumper.

I think they are the perfect wheels for the saloon...i just cant find em anywhere for a decent price!

Dont think i'll attempt the silver trims, im not up to that standart of car DIY yet:-)

I think realistically i could get the back bumper sprayed, get some 30mm springs and try to source a CC front bumper....just those mods alone would improve its look and handling a bit.

The 2.0TDCI MK2 Focus saloon is such an under-rated car..surprised i dont see more of em on the road cos can get em for a cracking price now. I actually prefer it to the hatch. Have read a lot of reviews that say the saloon actually handles much better than the hatch as standard.

Are you taking ya car to the Simply Ford fair at Beaulieu this sunday??

Neither have I but heard that its meant to be a goodun. Well i'll keep an eye out for any modded MK2 Focus saloons at the show, and will post pics here....doubt there will be any tho:-( dont think will be able to make Fiesta In The Park:-(

Just one other question.....did the bumper from the MK2 CC you fitted just fit straight on to ya mk2 saloon.....or wasnt it quite as simple as that?

Well finally after lots of research, frustration and time trying to source a spoiler for a MK2 Saloon I have just had news that the spoiler I ordered a while back is now in stock (IN GERMANY) so its now just a case of waiting.....

Was getting tired and the car had done 155k and the back arch was going and it was time to stop spending.....

Got much more money breaking it to a bare Shell than I would have selling it as it was.

All I can say at the moment is it will be fitted for Ford Fair as I am having some other work done at the same time as its in the bodyshop
