james_60
Hi Folks While Browsing google for fiesta remaps i came upon this http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?doit=done&tt=url&intl=1&fr=bf-home&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.fiestaclub.nl%2Findex.php%3Fshowtopic%3D16295&lp=nl_en&btnTrUrl=Translate They have photographic proof that the 1.25 60ps engine can be remapped with a fine tuned 82ps map. Looks very interesting. If someone can do that in england then my g/'s fiesta will be at the front of the que Let me know what you think and lets start a discussion about it Jamie
Preee
The only extra i would willing pay for on a Fiesta would be to have it crushed :)

ConfusedDaze
If it helps thats their website from his banner in the garage : http://translate.goo...%26prmd%3Dimvns and from digging around they take the 1.6 - 120bhp to 132bhp so from normal to s1600/metal kind of area which is interesting : http://translate.goo...%26prmd%3Dimvns Dunno if I'd get it done because warranty goes out the window, would rather just get mountune but I've heard its pretty loud for daily use which is a shame. I also notice it says that it retains warranty but I'm guessing that means either only for Dutch cars or they have an additional warranty they give you to cover the drivetrain. Not sure as my dutch isn't great and google translate is a bit picky. Then again superchips do one for £250 all in and its just a plug in device they send you and you do it all yourself - gives +13bhp with the same kind of extra warranty covering the drivetrain : http://www.superchips.co.uk/search?make=9&fueltype=1&model=1&variant=2303 I'd be interested to know if anyone on here has done the superchips remap or not and if its any good. Mark M.K
I voted "waste of money". Why you may ask... it's simple really. The 1.4 will have more power, and is only around £500 extra for the bigger engine. That way you keep the warranty with Ford, and not run the risk of your engine blowing up due to their remap. b1g_dav3
Yeah adding 50% power isn't going to be a happy ending. The engine's going to be running way too hot, it's going to be gasping for air and is a horrible idea. Sorry, but my 1.6 diesel gets a gain of 30bhp on a remap, starting with 95 already and diesel's get a ton from remaps, but still not 50%. For that much power, you'd need to turbocharge with the necessary gubbins to go with.
Stoney871
I wouldn't push an engine up to more than 25% of it's original output. Any more than that is risking damage and big repair bills.
1989jeffrey1989
Not sure for me, im pretty sure the engine would knacker quickly! I would just upgrade the engine to a 2.0 focus st170 engine. Anybody know if this would work? Also the running gear From an st (if it all fits). You can pick them up fairly cheap nowadays (:
