Hi,

Doesn't work on my 12 plate Metal either. I guess it needs an extra that I didn't choose. My partner has it on his focus though and it drives him mad as constantly tells him to change into 6th gear at 40mph!

You only usually get that feature on an Econetic model - although I think most models from 2012 get it now.

Saying that it did come on my 2010 Zetec-S - I believe because it is a diesel. Have disabled the green arrow (or "shift up indicator" as it's called) as it got on my nerves!

I was thinking they wouldn't bother putting it on a sporty car as I didn't buy it for its economy:). I've got a loan car today and it's got it on and it would definately annoy me as well as its on all the time. I've got the white one and it's a great car to drive. It never fails to put a smile on my face. I love the exhaust sound so alot of revving has to be done.

My 60 plate 2010 Titanium 1.6 petrol has that annoying arrow. Maybe Ford forgot to add it for the Metal?

It's rubbish anyway, mine tells me to change to 5th at about 20mph. Yeah, okay

Ive got a 1.25 edge as a loan car today as mines in having a leak fixed and yes it does say to change early. If I paid any attention to that I'd hardly move as it is a very slow car. Can do 4000 rpm and still feels slow. Can't wait to get my car back tomorrow. God I miss him 😥

the 1,25 is a good car for what it is imo yes you have a 1.6 so its gonna feel slow but to me its good enough :)

Was this on your car from the factory or did it come on while you were enabling other features? I have a 2010 Zetec S diesel and i have never seen a green arrow to tell me to change gear.

It was enabled from the factory - I then disabled it.

I've got a S1600 and my brother has a 1.25. I wondered why his change up light came on at about 2k revs but I later found out that because the metal and my S1600 are sporty models they don't come on until you are giving it the beans and maxing out the revs! It kind of reminded me of playing need for speed as a kid :) hope this helps

I have a Metal and my car doesnt have the gear change indicator and no option to turn it on either, so it must not come with the car...

I have just bought a 62 plate metal. And was wondering about the green arrow that shows on the dash when you first turn on but never whilst driving. So I accelerated through the gears upto 6500 rpm in first and second and yes it just appears before I had to change up
