joanne-s
Hi! Just found this club and had to join I was driving my Focus home last night then all of a sudden no power and ground to a halt :( Had this car three weeks :( It will not start back up, there is plenty of petrol in it! Waiting for the garage to look at it, have been told it might be a fuel pump prob! He too off what I am assuming is a pipe fuel goes through under the bonnet and when he tried to start it nowt came out of it! Soo and suggestions would be much appreciated! DaveD
Hi there joanne-s, when you bought the car was it from a dealer or was it bought privately? Your explanation sounds like a fault with the fuel pump. Are you a member of the AA or RAC?
joanne-s
Ace, was thinking fuel pump! Yep I'm in the AA through my bank, I broke down real close to home so wasn't that stuck thank god! Yes got from a dealer but only engine under warranty Car has just been pushed into the garage, lucky for me the local garage is my next door neighbour! Just hate the not knowing and wanted suggestions to confirm it is what we thought, so thank you for your reply! Jo.
joanne-s
Yep, Fuel pump, cheeky !Removed! who I got it off has bodged it up to get rid of it! New fuel pump for me!
jeebowhite
do you mean the garage bodged it? if so, you can take it back and demand a refund, and the cost of the parts as the car is not fit for purpose...
